As a contemporary Christian singer, songwriter, and acoustic guitar player, John’s musical style is thought-provoking, fresh, and original. He seeks to create engaging music combined with lyrics that are rooted in biblical truth.
John serves as the worship leader for the English language service at Church on the Rock-Katy. Over the years, he has sung at numerous retreats, church services, and many social events. As a kid, he started singing in the children’s choir and continued through middle and high school.
As a college student at Houston Baptist University, John served as the worship band leader for Quest, the weekly campus bible study. Later, he became a volunteer worship leader for Wilcrest Baptist Church and served on staff as the worship leader for then Creekside Community Church.
John Montgomery is happily married to Carolina, his college sweetheart. They have two amazing young children, August John, and Christiana Olivia.
